Privacy policy

StockDue is the publisher name for this Shopify app. We use Shopify store data to show inventory, summarize accessible sales history, and calculate stock signals requested by the merchant. We do not sell merchant or customer data.

Data we use

When a merchant installs StockDue, Shopify provides the store domain and an authorization session. The app stores the session information needed to authenticate Shopify Admin API requests. Shopify manages app subscription approval and payment details; StockDue does not collect or store payment card details.

With the permissions granted to StockDue, the app reads product and variant titles, variant identifiers, SKU, product imagery, inventory tracking status, available inventory, and store locations. It reads order dates, cancellation status, variant identifiers, and current line quantities from the order history Shopify makes available to the app (currently up to 60 days).

Order information is used to total net line quantities by product variant and day. StockDue does not ask Shopify for customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or billing and shipping addresses, and does not retain order IDs or customer identifiers for its demand calculations. Order line information is still Shopify order data and is handled only for this inventory analysis.

StockDue stores the store’s catalog and inventory snapshots, aggregated variant/day demand, risk results, selected variants and locations, replenishment rules, confirmed inbound quantities, supplier names, budget scenarios, sync progress and errors, and the Shopify plan status needed to enforce plan limits. These records are scoped to the store that authorized the app.

How we use and share data

Data is used to provide the app’s catalog, stock-risk and replenishment views, retry interrupted syncs, enforce subscription limits, and respond to support requests. StockDue does not create purchase orders, edit inventory, or contact suppliers. We do not use an AI service, an email service, advertising pixels, or customer data for marketing.

Shopify provides authentication, Admin API access, and app billing. DigitalOcean hosts the StockDue web app and database. These providers process information only as needed to operate their services. We do not authorize them to use merchant data for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Saved app data remains while StockDue is installed, unless a merchant clears it sooner. StockDue keeps recent inventory observations for up to 90 days and replaces completed risk and demand results when a newer scan finishes. A merchant can download an archive or clear saved StockDue business data in the app’s Privacy and store settings.

When Shopify reports an uninstall, StockDue stops queued work and removes the store’s saved app data through its deletion process. Shopify’s shop-redaction request removes the remaining store-linked operational records. Shopify customer data request and redaction webhooks are acknowledged without storing the customer payload because StockDue does not keep customer-specific records.

Security and choices

Access to Shopify data is tied to the installing store’s authorization. Store data is separated by Shopify shop domain in the application database. A merchant can remove StockDue’s Shopify access by uninstalling the app, or contact us to ask about an access or deletion request.
